About
Nicholas F. Tsourmas is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and founding partner of Southwest Orthopaedic Group. He has retired from formal clinical practice. He performs additional services to insurance carriers and managed care organizations and serves as an expert witness for the legal community. He is the medical director of Texas Mutual Insurance Company. He is an adjunct professor at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston as well as at UT Houston, UT Austin’s Dell Medical School, UT Tyler and Texas A&M Health Sciences Center.
Tsourmas graduated from Georgetown University Medical School in Washington, D.C. He has published articles about orthopaedic medicine for medical journals, including one that won the prestigious Volvo Award in 1983, and he has more than 30 years of clinical experience in the medical industry.
