About
Michael Nix came to Dell Medical School from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where he was an assistant professor in obstetrics and gynecology. He received his medical degree and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at UT Southwestern and served as medical director of perinatal services at University Medical Center Brackenridge. Nix also serves as the chair for the Women’s Health and Perinatal Network Clinical Care Council, and he is a member of the national Perinatal Steering Committee for Ascension Health.
Nix’s special interests include operative vaginal delivery as well as patient safety and quality improvement, and he has presented posters and lectured on the regional and national levels for these areas.
Nix and his family live in Austin, and he enjoys cooking, playing tennis, wake surfing and waterskiing.
