About
M. Catalina Cuervo, M.D, MPH, joined CommUnityCare Health Centers in 2021 and practices broad-spectrum family medicine in Austin and Manor, Texas. She has an interest in health advocacy and patient empowerment through individualized and culturally sensitive care as well as the provision of comprehensive care to family units through key transitional phases of life — particularly surrounding pregnancy, through childhood and adolescence, and in navigating significant illness. Within the Department of Population Health, Cuervo provides clinical teaching for medical students and family medicine residents.
Cuervo is originally from Bogotá, Colombia. She grew up in Texas and completed medical school at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. She completed her postgraduate training in the Family and Community Residency Program at San Francisco General Hospital-University of California, San Francisco.
