Mae Reyes

About

Mae Reyes serves as associate chief of staff in the Office of the Dean of Dell Medical School and Senior Vice President for Medical Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin. In this role, she is a key operational partner to executive leadership, helping coordinate institutional priorities, strengthen communication and accountability, and ensure that decisions translate into action across the organization.

Reyes joined Dell Medical School in 2022 and has provided steady, high-level support to senior leaders during a period of significant institutional growth. Her work spans executive coordination, initiative tracking, briefing and communications support, and cross-functional collaboration with leaders across the school and emerging academic health system.

Before joining Dell Med, Reyes held administrative and operational leadership roles in academic medicine and clinical practice, including nearly eight years supporting senior executive leadership at Baylor College of Medicine. She also has experience at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center. Reyes holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Houston-Downtown and is active in professional associations, including the Association of American Medical Colleges’ Deans’ Assistant Group.
