About
Mackenzie Thompson, M.D., MPH, earned her M.D. from the Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine and her MPH from The University of Texas Health Science Center. Thompson served as chief resident at Dell Medical School, where she was recognized with a Distinction in Care Transformation. She has received numerous accolades, including the Academic Resident of the Year and the Charles R. Bauer Senior Medical Student Award for Excellence in Emergency Medicine.
Thompson is actively involved in professional organizations such as the American College of Emergency Physicians and Texas College of Emergency Physicians, where she completed the Texas Leadership and Advocacy Fellowship and executed the inaugural TCEP Advocacy Day at the Texas Legislature. Her research focuses on improving emergency care delivery, and she has contributed to several peer-reviewed publications and presented her work at national conferences.
Thompson is dedicated to advancing emergency medicine through her leadership, educational activities and clinical quality improvement projects.
