About
Lizette Taboada, RD, LD, is a registered dietitian in Women’s Health, a clinical partnership between Ascension Seton and UT Medicine. She also serves as the Nutrition and Behavior Change Lead for UT Medicine’s Health Social Work care team. She specializes in nutrition education and dietary counseling focused on weight management, gastrointestinal issues, and diabetes.
Lizette Taboada earned her bachelor’s degree in nutrition from The University of Texas at Austin, where she completed a dietetic internship through the Coordinated Program in Dietetics.
Lizette Taboada has 18 years of experience working with multidisciplinary teams and in the community as a clinical dietitian. Her previous roles included Dell Children’s Medical Center’s Childhood Obesity Program, the Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) Program, and the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program. When counseling patients, she combines a patient-centered approach and motivational interviewing techniques to empower patients to achieve healthy lifestyle changes. Her main goal is to support patients by creating healthy eating habits as they strive for a better quality of life.
