Lisa McDermott, LCSW-S

UT Health Austin Care Team Member

About

Lisa McDermott, LCSW-S, is a practicing social worker providing teletherapy services to youth and adolescents through the Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine program. She has a focus on urgent assessments and working with those in crisis.

Prior to joining TCHATT, McDermott was an emergency department social worker at Dell Children’s Medical Center, where she also had opportunities to provide supervision to psychology interns from The University of Texas at Austin and Texas State University.

McDermott received her Bachelor of Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin, then immediately joined the Advanced-Standing Program through the School of Social Work at UT Austin to earn her Master of Science in Social Work. McDermott’s heart bleeds orange and she is proud of her UT Austin roots.
