About
Letha Cole, M.D., is a affiliate faculty in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. As an assistant professor at Baylor College of Medicine, Cole served as director of the Outpatient Clinic at Depelchin Children’s Center for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Residency from 1990-92. From 1992-96, she served as director of the Partial Hospital Program for Houston Child Guidance as a clinical site for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Program. She started her private practice in Houston, Texas concurrently with her work for Baylor College of Medicine
Cole pursued training as a psychoanalyst from 1990-97 at the Center for Psychoanalytic Studies (formerly the Houston-Galveston Psychoanalytic Institute). She became a training and supervising analyst at the Center for Psychoanalytic Studies in 2004. She is currently in private practice in Austin, Texas. Her interests are child and adolescent psychotherapy and adult psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. She also consults with parents around parenting issues and helps parents help their children who are struggling with developmental challenges.
