Lauren Shinn

About

Lauren Shinn is the director of dean’s initiatives on the Development team at Dell Medical School. In her role, Shinn secures funding that sustainably invests capital over time to support Dell Medical School’s mission and programs to improve health in Austin. Shinn also works to obtain major gifts to support Dell Med’s outstanding students.

Prior to joining the Dell Medical School team, Shinn worked as a program manager at MD Anderson Children’s Cancer Hospital, managing community partnerships, summer camps and patient programming for families being treated at the hospital. She earned a B.S. in human development and family studies from Texas Tech University and an M.S. in child and family development from the University of Georgia.

In her spare time, Shinn enjoys experiencing live music and being “Aunt Lo” to her niece and nephew.
