Kristy Herrman, M.D., is a board-certified pediatrician and neonatologist who specializes in providing care for neonates and infants with a wide variety and severity of illnesses, including prematurity and many different congenital anomalies. Herrman obtained her medical degree from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and then did her internship and residency with the Austin Medical Education Program. She subsequently went to The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to complete her fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine before returning to Austin to begin her career in 2007, just as Dell Children’s Medical Center opened.
Herrman has a passion for teaching and is the director of medical education for students and residents doing their neonatal intensive care rotation and co-chair of the Education Committee for the Division of Neonatology.
