About
Kimberly Carter came to Dell Medical School from the University of Texas Southwestern, where she was an assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology. She completed medical school at Baylor College of Medicine and received a master’s degree in public health from the University of Chicago. Carter completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine. While there, she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honor society.
Carter has a specific area of interest in treating vulvodynia. She has received a number of awards and honors including the ACOG Mentor Award, Best Doctors of America, and Patient’s Choice Award. Carter is an active member in the Austin community. She sits on several boards and is working on issues that affect women’s health at the legislative level.
Carter moved to Austin with her husband Paul after completing her residency program. They have two children and a home full of pets.
