About

Keith Kerr, M.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Dell Medical School and a board-certified pediatric intensivist.

Kerr graduated from the University of South Carolina Medical School and completed a residency in pediatrics at Keesler Medical Center at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi. He continued his training at Primary Children’s Medical Center in Salt Lake City, completing a fellowship in pediatric critical care. Afterwards, Kerr served as the chief of the pediatric intensive care unit at Wilford Hall Medical Center from 1994 to 1998.

Kerr has been working at a Seton/Ascension Seton hospital in Austin since his honorable discharge from the Air Force. He has been a director of the transport team since 1999. Kerr has been a PICU liberation advocate with the P.E. club and is involved with simulation education for nurses, respiratory therapists, residents and fellows.
