About
Josh Shaffer, M.D., received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and completed his residency at Dell Medical School. During his final year of residency, Shaffer served as administrative chief resident. Shaffer was awarded the SMFM Residency Program Award for Excellence in Obstetrics, the SREI Resident Award for Excellence in REI, and several departmental and institutional medical education awards.
Shaffer’s academic and research interests include medical student education, medical student and resident wellness, and expanding patient access to medical information. His clinical interests in general obstetrics and gynecology include access to contraception, minimally invasive gynecology surgery, preventative care and obstetrics.
Shaffer is committed to serving the women and people of the Central Texas community by providing high-quality, evidence-based, accessible patient care and advancing medical education.
