About

Jess Goldstein-Kral, Ph.D., takes a sociological approach to their work in order to provide culturally competent and affirming care. Goldstein-Kral earned their doctorate in sociology from The University of Texas at Austin, where they studied social inequality, health and relationships. They earned their Bachelor of Arts in sociology from The Ohio State University.

Prior to joining Dell Medical School, Goldstein-Kral supported students as a teaching assistant and instructor at UT and served as a mentor at UT’s Gender and Sexuality Center.
