About
Hunter Daigle, M.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics and assistant director of simulation at Dell Medical School. He is an attending physician in the Division of Critical Care Medicine at Dell Children’s Medical Center.
Daigle received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and completed his residency, chief residency and fellowship training in pediatric critical care at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. His research projects have included describing the prevalence, risk factors and outcomes of patients identified as difficult to bag-mask ventilate in pediatric intensive care units. He has also investigated why providers perceive a patient is difficult to bag-mask ventilate and what interventions are used to troubleshoot that difficulty. This peer-reviewed work has been published in Critical Care Medicine and presented at the Society of Critical Care Medicine and Pediatric Acute Lung Injury and Sepsis Investigators conferences. His areas of interest include simulation, airway management, resuscitation, medical education and interprofessional development.
