About

Hi Kyu Park is an assistant professor in the department of pediatrics at Dell Medical School. Before joining the Dell Med team, he was the postdoctoral associates at Cornell University and his main research focus was in lipid chemistry with the special focus on regulation of metabolic pathway of omega-3, 6 and 9 fatty acids using human cancer cells transformed with fatty acid desaturase (FADS1, 2 and 3). His research interests include evaluation of hormones effects on metabolic pathway of omega-3, 6 and 9 fatty acids.

He received his doctorate in 2011, from the Department of Food and Biotechnology at Korea University, South Korea. While obtaining his doctorate, his research focused on the synthesis of conjugated fatty acids (CLA and CLnA) through probiotics and rumen bacteria.
