About
Grace L. Honles received her medical degree at UCLA School of Medicine in 1994 and completed her residency in family practice in 1997 through the University of Washington. Following her residency, she entered active military duty with the U.S. Air Force and received a promotion to major and a commendation medal before her honorable discharge in 2000. In addition to practicing medicine in the military system, she has worked with diverse populations in collegiate health and in general private practice. She is currently an associate physician with Austin Diagnostic Clinic.
Honles is board certified in family practice. She has been a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and its state chapter since medical school. She is a member of the Texas Academy of Family Practice and Texas Medical Association. Honles also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, graduating with honors in 2016.
She believes passionately in teaching and can often be found precepting medical students and advanced-practice nurses in the clinic. She has received many accolades for teaching and for providing compassionate and exemplary care to her patients as a family doctor. She believes strongly in illness prevention and in providing comprehensive care. She strives for a friendly, collaborative and informative doctor-patient interaction. She is bilingual in Spanish and English. She enjoys traveling, cooking healthfully, reading and music, especially with her husband and two daughters.
