About

Faheem Mahomed, M.D., is a board-certified pediatric physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist. He specializes in the assessment and rehabilitation of children with neurological disorders.

Mahomed received his bachelor of science and a medical degree in a combined six-year program at the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and earned his fellowship in pediatric rehabilitation at UC Davis Health and Shriners Hospitals for Children–Northern California. He is board certified through the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and has a subspecialty certification in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine from the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Mahomed has published multiple articles and teaches residents through his faculty position at Dell Med. Additionally, he is active in various community service groups, including projects involving adaptive sports. He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the International Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, and the American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine.
