About
Emily Vinas, Ed.D., is the associate chair of education in the Department of Women’s Health. She joined Dell Medical School in 2015 as the director of educational strategy and program development for the department. All women’s health educational efforts operate under her leadership including the medical student, residency, fellowship and continuing education programs. She is also an assistant professor in the Department of Women’s Health and a courtesy assistant professor in the Department of Medical Education.
Vinas also serves as the director of continuing medical education for Dell Medical School, co-chair for the GME’ Advancing Care Transformation and co-director of the Fellowship in Medical Education for the Department of Medical Education. She is a UT Austin alum, having earned her bachelor’s degree in radio-television-film from the Moody College of Communication. She completed her master’s degree in curriculum and instruction and her doctoral degree in educational leadership at the University of Houston.
