Emily Hutson, MSN, RN

UT Health Austin Care Team Member

About

Emily Hutson, MSN, RN, is a licensed registered nurse and research coordinator for the Comprehensive Fetal Care Center, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin. She has contributed to a variety of research projects since joining the team in 2021, including an international clinical trial aimed at transforming care for pregnancies at risk for early-onset hemolytic disease of the fetus and newborn.

Hutson earned both her master’s in nursing and her bachelor’s in kinesiology with a concentration in women’s studies from The University of Texas at Austin, where she also dedicated five years to the Longhorn Band.

Prior to her appointment at the Comprehensive Fetal Care Center, Hutson’s passion for patient education and advocacy enhanced the experience and continuity of care for patients facing neonatal intensive care unit admission and the multidisciplinary teams caring for them. With more than 15 years of experience in clinical bedside and leadership nursing in Austin involving labor and delivery, nursery, NICU and postpartum settings, she also specializes in supporting growing families through some of the most challenging aspects of pregnancy.
