Donna Shanor, LCSW-S, LCDC

Donna Shanor, LCSW, LCDC, is a licensed clinical social worker and the Executive Director of Health Social Work. In her role, she supervises UT Medicine’s Health Social Work care team, which includes social workers, dietitians, and pharmacists across various clinical areas, and coordinates the integration of social workers, dietitians, and pharmacists within their respective clinical settings. She specializes in providing individual, couple, family, and group counseling, including crisis intervention. Additionally, Donna Shanor is an assistant professor in The University of Texas at Austin Steve Hicks School of Social Work.

Donna Shanor earned her bachelor’s degree in social work from The University of Oklahoma, her master’s degree in social work with a clinical concentration from The University of Texas at Austin, and her master’s degree in health care transformation from Dell Medical School in collaboration with McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin.

Donna Shanor is an associate of TEND Academy and has provided training to helping professionals on topics related to burnout, secondary trauma, and compassion fatigue. She is a member of the Collaborative Family Healthcare Association, the National Association of Social Workers, and the Society for Social Work Leadership in Healthcare.
