About
David Tremblay, M.D. is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained cornea, cataract and refractive surgeon. His specialty includes refractive surgery such as laser vision correction (LASIK) and ICL, custom lens replacement, cataract surgery, and treatments and procedures for corneal disease, including corneal transplantation.
Born in San Antonio and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Tremblay earned his Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and completed his internship in general surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina. Tremblay then completed his residency in ophthalmology at the Storm Eye Institute in Charleston, South Carolina, and followed with a fellowship in cornea, external disease and refractive surgery.
Tremblay is active in the ophthalmic community and serves on multiple boards and committees of various ophthalmologic societies. He is the medical director of the Miracles in Sight Eye Bank, providing ocular tissue for surgery across the globe. He is also the medical director of the Mann Eye Surgery Center and director of research for Mann Eye Austin.
