About

Christopher “C.J.” Yen, M.D., was born in Austin, Texas, and is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin. After completing his undergraduate studies in biomedical engineering, he attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where he stayed for his graduate medical training in radiology. He has completed subspecialty fellowships in pediatric radiology at Texas Children’s Hospital and pediatric interventional radiology at Texas Children’s Hospital and MD Anderson Cancer Center.

He is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology and practices pediatric diagnostic and interventional radiology at Austin Radiological Association. His clinical interests include pediatric vascular access, treatment of vascular malformations and general image-guided procedures. In addition to his clinical duties, he plays an active role in medical student and resident education. He is primarily based at Dell Children’s Medical Center, where he also serves as the vice-chief of radiology.

As a practitioner of patient-centered care, Yen focuses on bringing patients, families and health care providers together to achieve health care goals. He is conversational in Spanish and Chinese.
