About

Christine Bartow, D.O., is board-certified in both adult general psychiatry and consultation-liaison psychiatry, and she serves adults and transitional-age youth with broad mental health concerns in her clinical practices at UT Health Austin and Integral Care.

Bartow completed her undergraduate studies at Saint Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, where she graduated magna cum laude with a major in biology. She completed medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth, Texas. She completed adult general psychiatry residency at the University of Oklahoma School of Community Medicine in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she served her final two years as chief resident. She completed her consultation-liaison psychiatry fellowship at Dell Medical School.

Bartow’s areas of special clinical interest include treatment of transitional-age youth and young professionals (ages 18-35), concussion/TBI, mood and anxiety disorders, and psychiatric treatment in those with complex, chronic medical conditions. Additionally, Bartow is passionate about resident education, including curriculum development, psychiatric interview skills, feedback, self-assessment and goal setting, and stress management and wellness. She was recognized throughout training for her administrative contributions, psychotherapy skills, clinical skills and teaching skills.
