About

Chelsey Sparks, DNP, AGACNP-BC, FNP-BC, is a double board-certified advanced nurse practitioner in the Department of Neurosurgery and UT Health Austin’s Mulva Clinic for the Neurosciences.

She specializes in treating patients with an array of neurological disorders, including complex brain tumors, nerve injury, nerve tumors, pituitary tumors, epilepsy, intracranial vascular anomalies, radiosurgery and spinal disorders.

Sparks earned both her dual master’s in nursing and dual Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in acute care and family practice from the University of South Alabama. She earned her bachelor’s in biology from Texas Tech University and her bachelor’s in nursing from Bellarmine University. She has also completed extensive surgical training through the National Institute of First Assisting and is a certified surgical nurse practitioner, first-assist experienced in endovascular, minimally invasive and open neurosurgical procedures.

Sparks is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.
