About

Chelsey Sparks, DNP, AGACNP-BC, FNP-BC, is a board-certified adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner in both UT Medicine’s Functional Neurosurgery Clinic and UT Medicine’s Spine and Nerve Center. She specializes in treating patients with a wide range of neurological conditions, including complex brain tumors, stroke, intracranial vascular anomalies, and spinal disorders.


Chelsey Sparks earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from Texas Tech University, her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Bellarmine University, and both her master’s degree in nursing and her doctorate degree in nursing practice with emphasis in acute care and family practice from the University of South Alabama. She also completed specialized training as a certified surgical nurse first assist at the National Institute of First Assisting, with experience in endovascular, minimally invasive, and open neurosurgical procedures.


Chelsey Sparks is an active member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.
