About
Aaron Brock Roller, M.D., is a board-certified and fellowship-trained vitreoretinal surgeon who has practiced in Austin since 2012. He is honored to be part of the amazing team of physicians and residents within the Department of Opthamology at Dell Medical School.
Dr. Roller completed an undergraduate degree in molecular biology at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He earned his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine. During his medical studies, he was awarded the Research to Prevent Blindness Medical Student Eye Research Fellowship award, with which he spent a year at UCLA designing and testing gene therapy platforms in animal models of human inherited retinal diseases. He completed a residency in opthalmology from the University of Iowa and remained at Iowa for an intensive two-year fellowship in vitreoretinal disease and surgery.
Dr. Roller’s clinical practice entails management of diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, retinal detachment, ocular trauma and ocular inflammatory conditions. He has a special interest in inherited retinal disease and is a clinical investigator in numerous clinical research trials here in Austin.
