Mickey Roberts

Mickey Roberts and his team manage the administrative and financial aspects of research projects and funding. Roberts is also focused on supporting faculty members with the development of highly competitive proposals for funding research projects. To this end, Roberts engages the critical early stages of proposal development, enabling faculty to prioritize science over budgeting and other administrative hurdles.

Before joining Dell Med in 2017, Roberts worked for 10 years leading local, state and federal grant projects for disaster mitigation, conservation, park development, environmental planning and law enforcement initiatives. As a seasoned public administrator, Roberts has experience collaborating with representatives from universities, governments, nonprofits and the private sector to establish the framework needed to pursue and achieve goals.

Roberts holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from The University of Texas at Austin and is happy to have the opportunity to return and serve his alma mater.
