About
Marc Delao is a registered professional engineer, retired U.S. Navy officer and visionary operations executive with more than 33 years of experience, including directing billion-dollar capital investments in the military, health care and private sectors.
Delao previously served as vice president at Broaddus & Associates, where he oversaw the construction of a 12-story, 750,000-square-foot clinical services facility — the first phase for a planned 432-bed inpatient tower for MD Anderson Cancer Centers in Houston, Texas.
His Navy executive leadership experience includes serving as CEO for Naval Facilities Engineering Command at Pearl Harbor, COO for the Navy Expeditionary Combat Command Pacific and CEO of Amphibious Construction Battalion TWO in Virginia Beach.
Delao was also CEO for a multibillion-dollar construction expansion at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune that included health care facilities and a Wounded Warrior Project complex. He previously served at the Pentagon as the shore readiness assessments lead for the chief of naval operations staff, developing budget and assessing capabilities for the Navy’s $9 billion ashore programs, including military construction, base operational support, facilities sustainment and management, and environmental compliance.
Delao is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and earned a master’s degree in civil engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. He also completed the executive development program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
