About
Reza Saber, M.D., is a cerebrovascular and neuroendovascular specialist. He has expertise in minimally invasive surgical treatment of ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, brain aneurysms, intracranial and extracranial vascular stenoses, arteriovenous malformations and fistulas, as well as spinal vascular malformations. Saber completed his vascular and interventional neuroradiology fellowships at the University of California, Los Angeles. He also holds a dual Master of Public Health in biostatistics and epidemiology from the Boston University School of Public Health.
In collaboration with UT Austin’s computer science and biomedical engineering experts, Saber’s research is focused on developing cutting-edge technologies and methods for improving stroke and aneurysm care through the integration of predictive modeling, artificial intelligence and robotics. His work aims to leverage technology and data science to enhance clinical outcomes for patients with cerebrovascular disorders, emphasizing early diagnosis and precise, effective interventions. He has published more than 100 scientific papers, including numerous articles in high impact journals, including JAMA Open, JAMA Neurology, Stroke, Neurology, and the Journal of NeuroInterventional Surgery.
