Gloria Chen, LCSW-S, CCTSW, is a practicing licensed clinical social worker with a focus on kidney transplant and living donation. She specializes in providing clinical assessment and care management support for transplant candidates, recipients and living donors at the Dell Seton Abdominal Transplant Center.
Chen’s research focuses on the psychosocial access barriers and facilitators to kidney transplantation, such as the efficacy of psychometric assessment tools and social determinants of health factors that impact access to transplantation.
Prior to joining Dell Medical School, Chen was a kidney transplant and living donor social worker at Memorial Hermann Transplant Center. Chen received her Bachelor of Science in social work with honors from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Science in social work, specializing in interpersonal practice and health, from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
