Erin Richardson, MSN, RN

Erin Richardson, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC is a certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner in the UT Medicine Women’s Reproductive Mental Health of Texas. She specializes in providing psychiatric care, including medication management and psychotherapy, during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Additionally, Erin Richardson is a health professional specialist in the Dell Medical School Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.

Erin Richardson earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and art history from Duke University. She earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in nursing from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She completed her clinical training in reproductive psychiatry at the UNC Center for Women’s Mood Disorders.

Erin Richardson’s clinical interests include the use of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) for perinatal mood and anxiety disorders as well as the integration of medication management and psychotherapy in patient care. She has been an active member of research study teams investigating the biological basis of postpartum depression and perimenopausal depression, and she is a member of Postpartum Support International and the Marcé Society of North America.
