About
Eileen Bowden, M.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Ophthalmology.
Originally an Austinite, Bowden received her Bachelor of Business Administration at The University of Texas at Austin.
She received her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. She then moved to New York for her ophthalmology residency at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai. Bowden then finished her training with a glaucoma fellowship at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Florida, in Miami.
Bowden is fluent in English and Assamese, proficient in Spanish and has basic knowledge of Bengali.
She is thrilled to be back in Austin with her young family!
