Andrew Nilson

About

Andrew Nilson is an accomplished clinical research professional with over two decades of expertise in clinical research operations, regulatory affairs and research infrastructure development. He has demonstrated success in executing process improvement initiatives, managing large-scale research projects and devising regulatory strategies that enhance efficiency and compliance. His diverse experience encompasses academic medical centers, industry and community-based research environments.

At Dell Medical School, Nilson is responsible for the development of research infrastructure, integration of research with information technology, and the enhancement of research support services through process development and alignment within the Dell Med research community. Prior to joining Dell Med, Nilson served as a clinical trial manager at COUR Pharmaceuticals, where he led trial master file operations, site start-up activities and regulatory submissions across multiple early-phase clinical programs. At Huron Consulting Group, as an associate consultant, he provided strategic regulatory and research compliance guidance to NCI-designated cancer centers and academic medical centers. Additionally, he held leadership positions at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, overseeing regulatory operations, streamlining trial activation processes and contributing to securing multimillion-dollar NCI grants.

With a degree in health care administration from Texas State University, Nilson promotes research excellence through innovation, compliance and strategic partnerships. He actively participates in professional organizations and a frequent speaker at industry conferences.
