About

Jess Ambiee, LCSW-S, ACHP-SW, is a licensed clinical social worker in UT Health Austin’s Comprehensive Memory Center within the Mulva Clinic for the Neurosciences. He is also a part of UT Health Austin’s Integrated Behavioral Health care team. He specializes in counseling, grief and loss, and advanced care planning. He also provides support and resources to individuals living with dementia and their families.

Additionally, Ambiee is an assistant professor of practice in the Steve Hicks School of Social Work at The University of Texas at Austin. Ambiee earned his master’s degree in applied cultural anthropology from the University of South Florida and a second master’s degree in social work from UT. He is also an advanced certified hospice and palliative social worker and served as a field instructor in the Steve Hicks School of Social Work. Ambiee serves as a volunteer community educator with the Alzheimer’s Association and is involved with ongoing research projects within UT Health Austin’s Comprehensive Memory Center.
