About the Event
In this installment of Pediatric Grand Rounds and the third annual George Edwards Lectureship, Katherine Snyder, M.D., MPH, FAAP, presents “Medical Neglect.” Snyder is an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Dell Medical School. She is also the division chief for child abuse pediatrics and the medical director for the CARE and SANE Teams at Dell Children’s Medical Center.

By the end of this presentation, the audience participant should be able to:
- Iterate the various definitions of child neglect.
- Discuss how medical neglect presents and how to identify it.
- Describe the barriers to identifying medical neglect.
- Delineate the potential outcomes of medical neglect.
- Verbalize how to manage medical neglect.
