About

David Tang, M.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at Dell Medical School. He is a board-certified gastroenterologist at Digestive Health, a clinical partnership between Dell Med and Ascension Seton. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with pancreas and biliary conditions and disease.

Tang has an ongoing research interest in health informatics and advanced imaging techniques, which complements his background in engineering and computer science. He also has worked on implementing innovative health care delivery models especially for the vulnerable population, with a focus on telemedicine. He is very interested in teaching especially around concepts of high-value care. He has published research articles on endoscopic training.
