Creating a New Kind of Doctor
We recruit and train physician leaders as comfortable taking on systemic challenges in health as caring for individual patients.

Thank you for your interest in the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship program at Dell Medical School. During this three-year program, we will teach you, train you, coach you, mentor you and develop lifelong friendships with you. We have the case volume, patient diversity and the facilities for comprehensive clinical care. Our faculty have years of experience and have subspecialized in specific areas, so you will learn from the best.

Perhaps more importantly, you will embrace the culture at Dell Med, where we take education seriously, make it interesting and innovate to improve the experience. Health care is changing — the way care is delivered, the expectations patients have and how physicians and hospitals get paid will likely look different by the time you graduate from our fellowship. At Dell Med, you will not only understand and practice high-value care, but you will also become a leader in the field. Being a patient advocate and steward of health resources is a need and a responsibility, no matter where you end up practicing.

Now is truly an exciting and unique opportunity to help build and grow a gastroenterology practice that will help define the future of health care. You will also get to experience one of the best cities in the country. Austin has been voted among top places to live in America for several years and is the fastest growing large city in the U.S. Whether it be the natural scenery, the incredible food or the vibrant community, you will find Austin to be a wonderful place to live.

Sincerely,
Deepak Agrawal, M.D.
