Robert Huth, M.D.

About

Robert Huth is an affiliate faculty member in the Department of Internal Medicine at Dell Medical School. He came to Austin for his internship, residency and chief residency in internal medicine in 1986 after graduating from The George Washington University School Medicine. He joined the faculty in the same program after a fellowship in infectious diseases at The University of California at Davis. Huth remained as teaching faculty/hospitalist in both internal medicine and infectious diseases during transitions to Ascension Health, The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and Southwestern University and finally, The University of Texas at Austin as sponsoring institutions. Besides general internal medicine and infectious diseases, Huth is especially interested in the care of opportunistic infections in AIDS patients. Additionally, Huth was previously chair of the Infection Control Committee for the Seton hospitals.
