About

Mark Pirwitz, M.D., is chief of the Division of Cardiology for Dell Medical School, president and CEO of Ascension Seton Heart Institute and physician executive of the cardiovascular service line for Ascension Seton. He is director of the Ascension Seton heart valve program and co-director of the Ascension Seton Heart Research Institute. Pirwitz also serves as chair of the Ascension Seton Cardiovascular Clinical Care Council, chair of the Ascension Seton Interventional Cardiology Committee and co-chair for the Ascension Health Interventional Cardiology Affinity Group. He continues to conduct research in ongoing clinical trials focusing on coronary interventional devices and transcatheter valve therapies and is recognized for his leadership in the delivery of health care.
