About
Lia Gracey, M.D., Ph.D., is a board-certified dermatologist, researcher and educator. She is the director of teledermatology and digital health strategy at Ascension with research focusing on innovative digital health technology and artificial intelligence.
Dr. Gracey served as the Section Chief of Dermatology at Baylor Scott & White Health in Austin and was an assistant professor of medicine at Texas A&M for five years prior to joining Dell Medical School.
During Dr. Gracey’s M.D. and Ph.D. candidacy, she was awarded an NIH F30 from the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute under her co-Is, Nobel Laureate Andrew Z. Fire, Ph.D., and Dr. Mark A. Kay, M.D., Ph.D., to support her graduate training in genetics and medicine. She completed a dermatology residency at the Harvard Combined Dermatology Residency Training Program, with the final year dedicated to postdoctoral research as the principal investigator and program manager for the development of an innovative smartphone application to study the burden of disease of eczema.
