About

Divya Rayapati, M.D., is a gastroenterologist and hepatologist in UT Health Austin’s Gastroenterology Clinic. She specializes in diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal and hepatologic conditions. Rayapati earned her bachelor’s degree in both biology and anthropology from Washington University in St. Louis and her medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She completed a residency in internal medicine, a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology, and a fellowship in transplant hepatology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Rayapati’s clinical and research expertise reflects a strong commitment to advancing digestive and liver health with compassionate, patient-centered care. She has authored numerous publications and presented nationally on liver disease, colonoscopy quality and hepatocellular carcinoma. She is also actively engaged in medical education, patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.
