Verena Kallhoff, PhD, MBA
Verena Kallhoff, PhD, MBA, serves as the manager of Health CoLab at UT Dell Medical School where she fosters a value-focused health innovation ecosystem that brings together people passionate about improving health, world-class research and technological capabilities.
Prior to moving to Austin and joining Dell Medical School Verena served as the Innovative Managing Director of CyBHOR, an industry/university cooperative research center, sponsored by the National Science Foundation. The center focused on using computational surgery tools to drive improvements in the hospital operating room. In this role, she brought together researchers, industry members and clinicians, building relationships and innovative capacity.
Verena received her PhD in Human and Molecular Genetics from Baylor College of Medicine and an MBA from University of Houston-Clear Lake. Additional prior positions included Senior Research Analyst and Project Leader at Integrated Health Concepts, LLC, Statistical Clinical Q/A Analyst at Harris Health System and Administrative Fellow at Houston Methodist Research Institute.
Verena has a strong interest in facilitating the interaction and communication between industry, entrepreneurs, researchers and patient care teams allowing synergies to materialize in advancing scientific knowledge and driving innovation
