Associate Director of Sponsored Research
Lindsey Demeritt is the Associate Director of Sponsored Research and has been in this field for just under 10 years. She started at the University of Central Florida in the College of Education’s Budget Office where her last job title was Assistant Director for the Center for Educational Research and Development. Lindsey was then at Seattle University where she was one of two Sponsored Research Officers in the Office of Research Services & Sponsored Programs. And then, most recently, she was the Assistant Manager of Sponsored Projects at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. She is also an active member of the National Council of University Research Administrators, and loves teaching and learning about her field. She is currently a member of the national Electronic Research Administration Committee and was recently selected for a 3-year term as Traveling Workshop Faculty beginning in January 2016.
Lindsey graduated from the University of Florida in 2000 with a BSBA in Decision and Information Sciences, and from Florida State University in 2001 with an MSEd in Curriculum and Instruction, Secondary Mathematics. She was a middle and high school math teacher for just under 5 years, and has taught at various community colleges and universities as an adjunct professor.
In her free time, Lindsey is an avid movie-phile, is the lucky dog-mom to a wonderful lab/aussie/coon-hound mix who loves to explore and army-crawl through the creeks, and is usually planning/dreaming of a trip somewhere.
