Senior Administrative Program Coordinator
Jennifer Gilmore is the Senior Administrative Program Coordinator for the Department of Pediatrics with the Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin. She is responsible for supporting several Pediatric faculty members, assisting with all phases of the grant administration process (from proposal preparation to budgeting and fiscal monitoring to final progress reports), keeping labs well stocked and running smoothly, managing travel and reimbursements, and helping out in any way she can. She also serves as the on-site daily operations manager for the third floor faculty and staff as well as provides support to the Director of Strategy and Initiatives as needed. She has a deep passion for helping people and making a difference, no matter the task.
Before joining the Medical School, Jen spent several years in the College of Natural Sciences as the Institute for Cellular and Molecular Biology’s seminar coordinator and most recently, as the Biochemistry and Microbiology graduate program administrator, serving over 100 graduate students and over 80 faculty members. Her most notable professional achievement was being named one of The University of Texas at Austin’s Outstanding Presidents Staff Award winners in 2014. This was a major accomplishment because only a handful receive this honor every year.
Jen graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Communications Sciences and Disorders. After moving to Austin for school, she never looked back and has called Austin home for over 20 years. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her four beautiful daughters, taking walks, playing games, blowing bubbles, reading, watching movies, and baking all sorts of delicious treats.
