About

Deborah Briggs, M.D., is a board-certified epileptologist who serves as the outpatient clinic director and co-director for Ascension Seton’s Comprehensive Epilepsy Program. Briggs also serves a faculty member within Dell Medical School’s Department of Neurology and spends much of her time teaching residents and fellows on their EMU and EEG rotations. Briggs has recently worked in collaboration with Esther Melamed looking at the role of cellular immunity in patients with suspected autoimmune epilepsy that have been negative to currently known biomarkers. When she isn’t engaged in patient care, teaching or providing community services at home, Briggs volunteers abroad as a clinical provider for Ubuntu-Heal Kenya program.
