About

Cynthia Corral, LCSW-S, supports UT Health Austin social workers, dietitians and pharmacists using a relational and person-centered approach. She specializes in providing care management and psychotherapy services to address patients’ psychosocial needs and help them achieve their desired goals and outcomes. Additionally, Corral is as an assistant professor of practice in the Steve Hicks School of Social Work at The University of Texas at Austin.

Corral earned both her bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology and her master’s degree in social work from The University of Texas at Austin. She has additional training in applying cognitive behavioral therapy to patients with chronic pain and cognitive processing therapy to patients with PTSD.

Corral has been recognized as a Trailblazer by the El Paso in Austin Network Adelante Scholarship Circle for exemplifying leadership, creativity and passion for her work and her community. She volunteers with the Cine Las Americas film festival as she has an interest in cultural connection, education and storytelling through the arts. She is also a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
