About

Chirag Jhaveri, M.D., is an affiliate faculty member in the Department of Ophthalmology. He is also a retina specialist at Retina Consultants of Austin, an investigator at Retina Research Center and vice chair for the Diabetic Retinopathy Clinical Research network (DRCR.net), an NEI/NIH-funded research network.

Jhaveri was raised in Houston and completed medical school at Baylor College of Medicine. He finished his vitreoretinal fellowship training at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago.

Jhaveri enjoys training and educating current and future medical students in the latest advances in the field of ophthalmology. He is part of the community teaching faculty at the Texas A&M College of Medicine and the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, and he is active in the Health Careers Mentorship Program at The University of Texas at Austin.
