Candice Russell

About

Candice Russell is the senior education coordinator for the Department of Internal Medicine. As education coordinator, Russell works with second year medical students as they successfully navigate their way through their clerkships. She has worked in the University of Texas system for 15 years in various administrative roles. Prior to joining Dell Medical School, Russell served as admissions counselor at The University of Texas at San Antonio. She also spent 10 years as an academic advisor at The University of Texas Medical Branch assisting third and fourth year medical students with their clinical experiences.

Candice received her Bachelor of Science from Springhill College in Mobile, Alabama. She also holds master’s degree in counseling from Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana where she was a counselor for underserved families for five years.
