Goodgame graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, and received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. He completed his residency and fellowship at Barnes Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri in 2008. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Medical Oncology and Hematology. He sees patients and conducts research in all areas of hematology and oncology, but has a particular interest in treatment and clinical research in lung cancer and genitourinary cancers.

Goodgame is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. He is active in his church and enjoys all the outdoor activities Austin has to offer, along with his wife, children and golden retriever.
