Informing Health Policy

Mark McClellan presents insight on health policy.

As community organizations, government leaders and physicians look to the future of health, the consensus for change is apparent. Key to that change? Health policy reform. Dell Medical School can’t redesign care in a vacuum — the work requires a team of health policy experts set on creating sustainable, innovative models.

Areas of Focus

With rich expertise in health policy and administration, the team contributes to reform on a national level while also serving as a resource for Dell Med, its partners and the community.

Health policy research and analysis support Dell Med’s efforts to evolve new models of person-centered, multidisciplinary care that reward value. The health policy team also shapes community-based health interventions, including its collaboration on a recent project of the Texas Health and Human Services Commission to implement value-based health care in Medicaid.
